Yoga Teacher Training RYT 200 2020

This YTT program focuses on the fundamentals of yoga practice and teaching shared by all hatha yoga traditions. By aligning with the root aspects common to all hatha yoga traditions, this student-centered program encourages aspiring yoga teachers to creatively explore and discover the evolutionary path that resonates with their body/mind and heart as they deepen their personal practice while developing their teaching skills.

Through study of yoga history and philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy and physiology, and adjustments and modifications, students will develop the thorough knowledge necessary to safely and confidently step into the role of hatha yoga teacher. The program also is appropriate for those who want to deepen their knowledge, understanding, and practice of yoga even if they are uncertain whether they want to teach hatha yoga.

This year-long program will meet one weekend per month and will include homework and outside study. During the program, students will be mentored by senior teachers through apprenticeship. Upon satisfactory completion of the program graduates will qualify to register with the Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers at the 200 hour level (RYT-200).
